The Market Raffle

Each month, our generous producers donate goods to provide a huge basket of goodies, usually valued around $100. The proceeds from this raffle go towards the running and promoting of the Markets, ensuring their sustainability. Each market, our valuable volunteers organise the goodies for the raffle and sell the raffle tickets.

The raffle is drawn at 11.30am and we endeavour to deliver the prize on the market day.

Winners from last two Markets:

November Market

The Raffle prize was a hamper of produce supplied by each of the stall holders at the Market. The winning ticket,  belonged to a local  Karen.

December Market

The winner of the raffle at the December Market was one of our regular volunteers Mary McClare, she said she has been buying tickets since the first market she attended as the then owner of Country Cappuccino Coffee Van.

For eight years without a win seems a long time, she said it was a wonderful Christmas present and gave thanks to all our wonderful stallholders who donate to the raffle each month.

Volunteers Essential Part of Every Community

Without volunteers, communities throughout the world would not exist. A rather large claim perhaps but nonetheless true and the Boyanup   and Districts Farmer’s Market is no exception. Without the very generous support of the volunteer committee, Boyanup would not enjoy the friendly and welcome environment the markets offer.

To raise funds a number of fundraising activities are coordinated each month, which include the hamper raffle, sausage sizzle and sale of potatoes. With these funds the committee promotes the market, pays insurance and covers expenses such as the purchase of equipment and all essential items toward the running of an effective event.

New volunteers are needed so if you would like to help on any of the fundraising stalls, on either a regular basis or as a one off please contact 0448 806 833.
